Etsy.com - A "site" for sore eyes...

I am admittedly obsessed with etsy.com and everything on it....and I was thrilled to recently discover that I can share my favorite things from etsy.com on my blog!  Kind of like an etsy.com inspiration board....Love it!!!

Wedding Ceremony and Reception ideas - a photo tour

We actually got to go and see some reception decorations for another receptions at Theo Wirth...here's what we saw:

Then, we got to go and see a wedding ceremony at the Rose Garden (this wedding was at the large fountain; our fountain was just painted):

Wedding Programs as Fans

Being that our wedding is taking place at the end of July, we are doing our best to ensure our guests will be comfortable outside for the ceremony.  One thing we've been planning on since the beginning is making our wedding programs into paddle fans.

I have been searching the web for examples and have found a few that I really like:

from etsy.com (where else?!):

by HeSawSparks - etsy.com
by Liddabits - etsy.com
by Baumbirdy - etsy.com
by BonnieBelleBoutique - etsy.com

I have also come across some great DIY sites to guide us through the process of making the fans:

We're still trying to decide if we want to have the same designs as our invitations on our programs, in which case we'll have to work with our designer, Rene of Partymonkey - etsy.com.

We'll see what we decide --- either way, hopefully the programs won't be too much work and will turn out wonderfully!!

Engagement Photo Book - Free from Shutterfly!

With a few bridal showers coming up, I figured it was about time to get our favorite engagement photos printed up into a book that we could pass around and share. So, I was thrilled to come across the Ellen Show's free photo book offer from Shutterfly!  Click here for more info.

Check out our finished product:

Or, click here to open the photo book up in a new page.

Creating our own photo book was really pretty easy...and fun, because it gave us a chance to look through our engagement photos one more time...love them! (A huge thank you to our photographer, Natalie Champa Jennings!)

We're excitedly counting down the days...I believe we are now down to 72 days!  Woohoo!

Creating your own bridal bouquet

Here are a few resources I've come across for making your own bridal bouquet...I think I'll have to do at least one test run before the big day!

This is a long video, but it's pretty good for calla lilies:

Invitation Ideas

I have had tons of fun scouring the internet for fiesta invitation ideas, and I have 'pinned' all of the ones I've loved. With the 'wedding budget' mindset really taking over my financial decisions, I have been toying with the idea of designing our own invitations...especially since I really enjoyed creating our save-the-dates.

Here is a picture of one of my favorite invitation designs:

One thing I would need to have in order to really take on invitations would be a killer font that totally matches our fiesta theme.

I found a website called fontriver.com that has lots of cool free font choices, so I decided to try some out. The following images are my way on 'pinning' the font choices for future reference:

OK, this is way too much fun....and I think I've lost sight of what I was looking for... this must be kinda like the modern-day version of signing your soon-to-be new name over and over again on anything you can find. Hm... maybe I should be practicing signing my soon-to-be new name...

Here's a different site called fontspace.com:

This one looks like my actual handwriting!
